A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia in the laboratories of Drs. Balázs Rada and Ralph A. Tripp. The groups’ research is focused on determining the role of reactive oxygen species in virus-host interactions at the respiratory mucosa, therapeutic intervention strategies and the mechanism of respiratory epithelial cell resistance to influenza virus. The applicant must be highly motivated and qualified individual for this NIH-funded postdoctoral position and have the skill set and ability to work with a mouse model. Major emphasis is placed on both the mechanistic and therapeutic components of the project.
