MIT

Kedves MIT tagtársunk! Továbbítjuk Faith Osier (IUIS President) és Andreas Radbruch (EFIS President) levelét a nemzetközi „Day of Immunology” rendezvényről. Egyúttal tájékoztatjuk, hogy - a járványügyi helyzet miatt - az Immunológia Napjához kapcsolódó hazai programunkat novemberben szervezzük meg, a Magyar Tudomány Ünnepe rendezvénysorozat részeként. Üdvözlettel: Széll Márta és Bácsi Attila Dear Colleague, Immunology has never had such a high public profile as right now in the middle of this pandemic, yet the scope of the work we do and the impact we have in fighting diseases and improving global health is sometimes not understood by government, the media or the general public. The new hashtag we are using for the Day of Immunology 2021, theme COVID-19, reflects this: #ThankYouImmunology. To mark the Day of Immunology 2021, EFIS and IUIS are jointly organizing on April 29th (3pm-6pm CET) a DoI Webinar entitled “Immunology in the time of COVID-19: achievements, challenges, and opportunities”. Featuring both presentations and a panel discussion, this webinar will bring together global experts to take stock of where we are and what the future may hold. The DoI Webinar program is below: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/wp-iuis/app/uploads/2021/04/15064030/DoI-Webinar-illustrated-Program-.pdf To further highlight the impact of immunology research, we have asked young immunologists to provide short video testimonials that will be published on the IUIS and EFIS websites in the run-up to April 29th. Finally, the Day of Immunology is an opportunity for us to raise the profile of the work we do. For this, we need your help as a member of a national immunology society to ensure that the Day of Immunology 2021 is a success. Please go to www.iuis.org to download website and social media banners in the Promotional Kit for the Day of Immunology 2021. Please use these to promote the Day of Immunology 2021 on your website and any social media channels you use e.g. Facebook and Twitter. If you can send out an email to other colleagues, your fellows or contacts in the coming weeks promoting the Day of Immunology and the DoI Webinar; this would have a huge impact. Thank you for your support for this important initiative. Best regards Faith Osier, IUIS President - Andreas Radbruch, EFIS President
